Sharon Springs Ward Christmas Party....

At the Sharon Springs ward Christmas party we honoured all of the cute young men and young women serving missions from our ward. There was a picture display and a write up of each missionary. The ward provided the address, and all of the stuff needed to write a letter or card to the missionaries! This was the write up used for ELDER BRYSON SCOTT DEAN

Elder Bryson Scott Dean

Bryson is serving in the Manchester, New Hampshire mission. That means in his own words that he and his companion spend most of their time "finding" or in other words, walking and knocking looking for the "one".
Bryson is the middle child in the mashed up Jackson/Dean mix and the oldest of the 2 Dean boys.
Before his mission Bryson was attending BYU. Bryson wants to be an orthodontist.

Bryson in 3 words... As described by each of his family members:

Joel - Thoughtful, athletic, conscientious
Alexander -  Adrenaline junkie, supportive, expressive
Danielle - 3 words in a sentence  'Totally a babe' OR 3 separate words 'Loving, loyal, laughing'
Christine- Huggable, kind, strong
Lochlan - Mature, fun, friendly
Mom- Honorable, adventurous, humble

Bryson in a nutshell:
He loves....
(not necessarily in this order) his family, rugby, old muscle cars, the Book of Mormon, jumping out of airplanes, dogs, his friends, COD, running, weird and gross food, fireworks, traveling, languages, driving fast, scuba diving, Xbox 360,  roller coasters, more gross foods, reading, sleeping, football, fire, fishing, guns... Well actually any acceptable red neck pastime, diet coke, movies, beef jerky, extreme running /obstacle races, white chocolate, his mom..... He really loves his mom!

First Snow

Elder Dean's Favorite Sweater!

Derry, NH - #10

Hi Mum

First off what will the Christmas box be holding? Better not be anything big or expensive....

As for this past week, really nothing changed its still just the same, me and my companion still just did a lot of finding, so you know …. walking and knocking.

SAD STORY…. I ruined one of my favorite sweaters today, its 100% wool. I forgot that and washed and dried it just like normal….. Now it is a little small on me. (see picture).

Mum it is snowing THIS DOES NOT make me happy, I hate snow. I have already seen enough to last me a life time.

On Monday we had a Nerf war at the Georgetown chapel – it was epic.

We did have dinner with members over the week which was really good. We studied and did work every day. Fun thing on Saturday we did service a service project. Saturday was also Elder Jensens birthday. The service project we did was we helped cut this tree down for a member. It was a big fifty foot tree! A member would go up in a boom lift and then cut off branches and lower them down to us, once they were down they would be chopped and split. We (my companion and I) couldn’t use the chainsaws, but I could haul the branches and cut them up with an ax so that was really fun.

Elder Jensen and I still do insanity every day.

So I hope your meeting went well this morning what was it for?, sorry my emails have been so short, not much to post online. I love you mom.

Love, Elder Dean

Mum,

So this past week, was ok. We didn't really do much other then find again. a lot of knocking and walking and driving from house to house trying to see less actives. So it wasn’t too bad.

The weather is getting colder and we got snow TWICE this week, it all melted away the next day but I’m not really looking forward to winter.

Thanksgiving was good, we ended up having lunch with one family and dinner with another. I made myself only have one plate that wasn't too full at both places, I was afraid of feeling sick. It was a good day and we had really good food.

Good news, my whole district is staying the exact same this transfer so that’s really good – I am really happy about that.

Well, other than that – there is really nothing else that happened this week, no crazy stories or funny things just all the same. Any way love you mom

Mum,

So this past week was ok, we just did some finding again so not much talking to people really. We still don’t have anyone to teach so that really sucks but we keep looking.

For Thanksgiving this week my companion and I will be going to a members house for dinner so that'll be good and should be fun. For Christmas we have dinner with someone as well. So Christmas day in the mission field is going to be different, it is really supposed to be a regular day except we get to call home, nothing will change…. I’m a little worried.

You know I haven’t had your turkey for like two years I was at college and dads last year and here now. Sad.
Transfer week is this week we get the call on Saturday … so I have no clue what’ll happen.

I love the boxes you send mom.

No I really haven’t eaten anything else crazy…. the moose and squirrel were the weirdest but both tasted good. and i will look for a nativity.

Oh I bought a Nerf guns today just the cheap little ones to mess with.

So yeah not much else
love you mom have a good day

Love, Elder Dean
